Funky Sprogs - Unique & Original Hand Made Fashion for Children

As part of my Scentsy business I love, love, love to attend markets & fayres. I set up a stall of Scentsy goodness & tell everyone that passes all about the products. It is often the case that the stall holders that surround me will learn my 20 second pitch within the hour! They are often converted into customers, but one lady I met at an event last November has me smitten with her talents. I had set up next to Toni and her amazing Funky Sprogs stall.

Toni Graves, founder of Funky Sprogs, is a refreshingly original seamstress. Clothing & baby accessories that I cannot keep away from. Unique & bespoke designs that I fall in love with time after time.

My children are too grown up for booties & changing mats, so I find myself willing my friends to have more children so that I can call Toni up and request she makes something awesome - and I'm never disappointed.

There is always stock to buy, yet everytime I call I'm given the choice to choose a fabric incase I want something totally unquie.

This time round I needed a gift for a newborn baby girl, booties came recommended. I was sent a photo to choose my favourite and Toni had already decided which one's I'd pick. And she was right! The dotty ones at the front! Love them! Love them all - but love those the most.

Toni is always a pleasure to deal with. Our baby gift transactions always end in fits of giggles and I walk away with a huge smile on my face. Funky Sprog designs really are something to behold. A very talented lady indeed.

Funky Sprogs at the monthly Winchester Art & Design Market
You can browse & buy Funky Sprogs designs here, but there is always so much more in stock. The baby changing mats are gorgeous! So make sure you get in touch if you can't see what you are looking for.

Pop along and "like" Funky Sprogs on Facebook - you will not be disappointed!

Toni is a regular at Winchester Art & Design Market, held on Winchester High Street every 3rd Sunday of the month.

Do you Spin? Urgently seeking Spinners for our Parkinsons Fundraiser

You may not know that I have been doing karate since I was a child, so without giving too many clues to my current age, lets just say I have had Karate & my Sensei, Dave Morris, in my life for 20 odd years.

I had to take a break through injury & starting a family - pregnancy will really hinder trying to jump around in a white suit you know.....

Me in the middle amoungst our Dojo's Sensei's
Anyone that has been involved with a Martial Art for a number of years will know that it really does become part of your life. You learn, you grow, you respect and you have a hunger to just keep learning. Starting out all those years ago in a track suit at the back of the dojo and slowly but surely making by way, grading by grading to the front, teaching other newbies in tracksuits as I went along.

I was so very fortunate that my Sensei was still teaching when I returned to Karate after a break. So many other Dojo's had fallen by the way side, the "Daniel Son" craze was over, new modern Dojo's and lifeless franchise schools were popping up and ducking out all over the place, but there was Big D still teaching nearly everynight of the week. Same Dojo, same instructor, the same club attitude and taylored teaching so that anyone of any age, level & ability could all learn together.

So why am I dithering on about Karate when the title is Spinnathon for Parkinsons? Because my bloggy friends, Sensei Morris was diagnosed to have Parkinsons Disease. For a man who life is Martial Arts, that was a hard notion to entertain.

Sensei Morris
What would the next step be? Slowly wind down the Karate clubs? Start taking it easy? Yeah right, I don't think so. Try this......start up early morning spinning classes, then add a sprinkling of MORE Karate Dojo's opening across the South Coast, a passion to see each and every student reach their potential. Let's top that off with the ambitious vision of a Spinathon. A sponsored Spinning extravaganza that will see Leisure Centres and Gyms across the South Coast opening up their doors so that we can reach a combined milage of 5000. So far we have reached 2250 miles booked in with 54 people cycling for a combined time of 150 hours! Each and every person is bringing in sponsorship that will go directly to Parkinsons research & supporting those living with the disease.

  • Do you Spin?

DitzyGinger!

Yup - you heard me! As a Scentsy Independent Consultant I thought it would be a good idea to register my little blog here to my website.

So I was mortified to find out that I couldn't use my Scentimental blog spot name because some US Director has already registered it as her Team name. Well boo, boo and thrice boo!!!

My website name is still www.scenti-mental.scentsy.co.uk and I'm keeping it! That hyphen makes all the difference baby!!!

So, last month I promoted to Star Consultant!!! Woo hoo!!! Here's how our rankings work......
Start as an Escential Consultant
Then Certified
Then Lead
Then Star
Then Super star
Then Director

Right now in the UK we have just 3 Directors - thats how new we are to the UK! Just 1 Superstar Consultant, around 25 Star's, 30 or so Leads and the rest of us are Escential or Certified.
With just over 1000 Consultants I am doing me a little happy dance!!!!

Scentsy is not a get rich quick scheme, but it is an opportunity for unlimited income for EVERYBODY! So feel free to get in touch for more info on joining my Team!
